Future Development

The Second Life turtle was found to be well received, though several participants in the evaluation component found that they became bored relatively quickly. As noted in the implementation section, a number of limitations were discovered in the production of the prototype model.

Whilst the initial design suggested the use of a text-editor this was found not to be possible in the current incarnation of LSL, however recent discussion has suggested that Second Life may switch to a new scripting language in the relatively near future and the limitations currently experienced may therefore be lifted.

Additional Functionality

Several of the participants interviewed in the evaluation expressed a wish for the ability to use mathematical notation in commands. Whilst difficult to implement, this is a scope for future development. Extending upon this is the use of user-accessible variables within the scripting language such that users can modify them in-world to create more dynamic functions and shapes.
